Darussalam Islamic University Ciamis, formerly known as the Darussalam Islamic Studies Institute, is a higher education institution that focuses on Islamic education which integrates academic learning with Islamic boarding school education.

The transformation of the Darussalam Islamic Studies Institute into the Darussalam Ciamis Islamic University was officially recognized through Minister of Religion Decree Number 1128 of 2023, aiming to build a holistic and integrative academic structure.

This university aims to educate prospective graduates who have a vision of Islam, knowledge, nationalism and community service. Darussalam Islamic University Ciamis is also committed to developing interdisciplinary studies that combine religious knowledge with general science.
