Universitas Bengkulu (UNIB) is a prominent state university located in Bengkulu, Indonesia. Established on April 24, 1982, it has become an important educational institution in the region. UNIB was founded based on Presidential Decree No. 17 of 1982 and was inaugurated by the Minister of Education and Culture, Prof. Dr. Daud Yusuf. The university is situated on Jl. W.R. Supratman, Kandang Limun, Bengkulu, and spans four campuses: Kandang Limun (main campus), Cimanuk, Air Sebakul, and Padang Harapan. In 2021, UNIB was ranked as the 50th best university in Indonesia.
UNIB is committed to improving its facilities to support both academic and non-academic activities. The campus features numerous buildings including a rectorate building, library, multipurpose hall, and stadium. Approximately 60% of the campus area is green space filled with trees, providing a pleasant environment for students. Universitas Bengkulu plays a crucial role in providing quality education in Indonesia while fostering academic excellence across various disciplines.
